Philly Mac-N-Cheese Sliders Recipe

Philly Mac-n-Cheese Sliders on NewsAnchorToHomemaker

The hubs and I recently went to a restaurant in downtown Las Vegas called Park.  I love this place.  They have really fun menu items like: Chicken and Waffle Sandwich, BBQ Bacon Burger and my favorite: Philly Mac-N-Cheese Sandwich.  Yep, you read that right!

It was so awesome I knew I had to create my own version of it.  These are perfect for a backyard party.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

1/2 Teaspoon of Pepper

1/2 Teaspoon of Dry Mustard

Philly- Mac-N-Cheese Sliders:

Prep: 20

Total: 2.5-3 Hours

Ingredients:

1 Pound of Beef for Stir Fry, Chopped

1/4 Cup Worcestershire

1/2 Cup of Ketchup

Large Green Pepper, Chopped

Large Red Pepper, Chopped

8 oz Mushrooms, Sliced (optional)

1 Onion, Chopped

2 Tablespoons of Butter, Divided

Olive Oil, enough to Coat Pan, Divided

Directions:

Mix together the ketchup and worcestershire.  Put chopped meat in zip lock bag and pour ketchup mixture over meat. Add more ketchup and worcestershire if you desire.  Marinate for 10 or more minutes.

While meat is marinating, chop your onion and peppers. In a small skillet, cook your onion in 1 Tablespoon of butter and olive oil over medium-low heat. After 10 minutes, add in your mushrooms, cook for another 5-10 minutes. In a separate small skillet, cook your peppers in 1 Tablespoon of butter in olive oil over medium heat.  Cook for 10 minutes. Remove peppers, keep warm.  Cook meat in the same skillet with all of the marinade juice for about 5-10 minutes on medium heat.

On your slider buns, place meat, onions/mushrooms, peppers and top with mac-n-cheese.  Fall into a coma of deliciousness!  What party recipes have you tried lately? Let me know in the comment section.
