When I found out I was pregnant, a little more than a year ago now, one of the things I was most excited about (besides having an actual baby here of course) was creating a nursery. When I found out I was having a girl…I have to admit I was even more excited about it! But when we decided on the name Violet for our daughter I wasn’t sure what to do. I’ve never been a big purple person and I had my heart set on soft pink nursery. I searched for a purple and pink nursery all over the internet and I couldn’t find anything I liked. I decided the first thing I had to do was pick out the bedding and once did, it all came together.
The bedding is from Restoration Hardware.
The crib is Baby Appleseed from buybuy Baby.
The chair is from buybuy Baby.
The Dresser/Hutch is Baby Appleseed from buybuy Baby
I got this idea from Pinterest. The frame has scrapbook paper glued to the back with fake flowers superglued on.
I bought this shelf from Hobby Lobby and spray painted it off white. Some of the things on it were gifts and others were just little odds and ends I picked up.
My favorite part of the nursery is this sign. I bought a mirror from Hobby Lobby, had the framing people pop out the mirror, wrapped the cardboard cutout from behind the frame in gingham fabric and spray painted the Hobby Lobby letters in a purple paint I found at Michaels. And then I found actual silk violets from Michaels to put in sconses I found there as well.
I still have this satisfied feeling every time I walk into her nursery…even if it is to change a poopy diaper!
